Let’s hear from Lindsey!

  1. What do you enjoy most about volunteering with MESA?
I really like spending time with the other advocates. Everyone I’ve met through MESA has been so amazing.
  2. How long have you been with MESA?
    I finished training October 2017.
  3. What is your favorite dessert?
Cinnamon rolls- Nothing’s better than a warm, frosted cinnamon roll.
  4. What is your biggest accomplishment to date?
In high school I presented a workshop on inclusive sex ed at a conference for queer youth. I heard back from several members of the audience that it was really helpful and the first time they had ever felt included in and understood by the health education they were receiving. I’m still really proud of the presentation I put together and the impact it had.
  5. What is your favorite joke?
Where does a mansplainer get his water? From a well, actually.
  6. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
I think it’d be cool to be able to produce flame. I have perpetually cold hands and always forget about mugs of tea, so some warming ability would be really practical day to day (in addition to being a great party trick).
