Understanding the Neurobiology of Traumatic Stress and Healing Through Trauma-Informed Yoga

Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA) is proud to share an opportunity to attend a yoga workshop focused on Understanding the Neurobiology of Traumatic Stress and Healing Through Trauma-Informed Yoga. This workshop is for yoga teachers, health-care providers, and therapists.

Join Dr. Janine D’Anniballe as she offers a framework of psychological trauma and how traumatic stress manifests in the body and mind. You will learn about the latest research in the field of trauma studies and how yoga and mindfulness practices can be used to manage symptoms and facilitate healing. This training is for yoga teachers who want to gain knowledge and skills to teach students in a trauma-informed way, and mental health professionals, and health providers who would like to integrate some of the tools of yoga into their work to support clients in their growth and transformation. The workshop will include lecture, discussion, and yoga practice.

Janine D’Anniballe, PhD, RYT is the Director of Community Services and Trauma-Informed Care at Mental Health Partners. She is a licensed psychologist and a nationally recognized expert who specializes in the areas of neurobiology of trauma, vicarious trauma and treatment for survivors.
