What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you are immersed in the soothing vibrations of instruments like crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums, and other healing sounds. Rather than listening to music with a melody or rhythm, you simply relax as the frequencies wash over you, inviting your mind and body into a state of deep rest. Taking you from a waking state of Beta, to a restorative state of theta, alpha and delta. Within this space of deep relaxation, your body’s natural healing systems can function with greater efficacy, helping to restore your optimal vibrational balance while nurturing your overall health and sense of wellbeing. Many people leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and deeply restored, making sound baths a beautiful practice for relaxation, stress relief, and reconnecting with yourself.

What can I expect during the sound bath?

A sound bath is a guided relaxation experience where you rest comfortably while listening to the sounds and vibrations of instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums, and gongs. There is no right or wrong way to experience it. You may choose to lie down, sit, or adjust your position at any time. People respond differently to sound-based meditation. Some notice a sense of relaxation or calm, while others may become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, or physical sensations. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, you are encouraged to move, take a break, or step outside if needed.

What can I expect after the sound bath?

Responses to a sound bath vary from person to person. Some participants report feeling more relaxed, grounded, or mentally settled, while others simply enjoy having taken time to pause and rest. Occasionally, people notice increased emotional awareness, tingling in parts of the body, fluctuations in body temperature, or fatigue which can be a normal response to slowing down and paying attention to their internal experience. Trapped emotions and energy can often migrate out of the body during a sound bath.

Participation & Comfort

During the session, you are encouraged to listen to your body, if at any point you feel uncomfortable, dizzy, or overwhelmed, you are free to adjust your position, sit up, or quietly step out of the space.

What do I need to bring?

Feel free to bring a journal and a bottle of water. Yoga mats, blankets, bolsters, yoga blocks, and weighted eye masks will be provided for the experience.
