Finley Hutchison is the winner of the first annual Youth Art Contest that was open to all middle and high school students in Boulder County. The Art Contest intended to inspire and empower youth to promote a culture based on consent, safety, and respect. Congratulations, Finley!
My concept was that to help prevent sexual violence in the community, we must recognize that abusers aren’t just strangers in dark alleys, they can be familiar and unassuming. This is particularly important for the men in our community, who are sometimes disillusioned with the idea that the only people who are potential threats for women are strangers.
