Colorado Gives Day has grown to be Colorado’s largest 24-hour giving event, raising more than $362 million for Colorado since it began in 2010.
Each December, Coloradans come together with the common goal to strengthen the community by helping to power nonprofits. Why give to Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA)?
Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA) is a program of Mental Health Partners, which serves Boulder and Broomfield counties. MESA’s mission is to end the suffering in our community caused by sexual violence. We believe every person has the right to live free of sexual violence. Through our client services we are here to help sexual violence survivors and their loved ones today. Through our prevention education programs we are working toward changing tomorrow to ensure a world free of sexual violence. We offer bilingual victim advocacy, a 24-hour hotline for emotional support and resources, support groups, and holistic healing services including trauma-informed yoga. MESA offers prevention education and trainings for middle and high schools, businesses and community agencies. We are moving to end sexual assault and the suffering it causes in our community; we challenge all forms of oppression and recognize their connection to sexual violence.
Since 1972, MESA has and continues to be the only sexual violence resource center serving Boulder County. MESA serves over 1,000 individuals annually through our 24-hour crisis and information hotline as well as our text line.
Donations to MESA impact the reintegration of survivors of sexual violence back to normal daily functioning and continual reduction of post traumatic stress disorder symptoms.
